Barbed seam plates are applied every 12" along the edge of the membrane. The adjoining sheet is overlapped and immediately welded. It takes 12 minutes to complete the welding process. |

| The Leister Variant blows hot air into the seam at temperatures of over 1000 degrees. The TPO material is then pressed together by the weight of the machine to form the fused seam. |
| After the polymer fastening strip is installed, BOTH sides of the EPDM lap must be coated with a solvent based primer which allows the rubber membrane to achieve a better bond with the tape system. The 7" wide seam may take up to 20 minutes to apply the primer alone |
| A pressure sensitive two sided tape is applied over the polymer strip evenly to form the 7" wide seam. The adjoining sheet is then overlapped and hand rolled the entire 100' seam to achieve maximum bond. Rolling in the seam may take another 15 minutes. |
